Explore communication and connection in your natal chart with our free Mercury–Venus Aspect Calculator. Mercury describes thinking, learning, language, and the way you exchange information. Venus describes attraction, values, pleasure, and the wish to connect. Together they offer a focused look at how ideas, expression, and social or creative preferences interact. Enter your birth date, exact local time, and birthplace below to reveal the two planetary positions, their angular separation, and any major aspect within the configured orbs.
Mercury–Venus Aspect Calculator
Calculate the exact positions of Mercury and Venus, their angular separation and the nearest major aspect and orb.
Calculation note: This tool uses astronomical planetary positions, local sidereal time and Whole Sign houses from your birth details. Astrology is an interpretive tradition, not a scientifically validated personality method.
What Does Your Mercury–Venus Aspect Reveal?
Mercury and Venus both remain relatively close to the Sun in the geocentric sky. Their mutual separation can produce a conjunction or sextile within the major aspects counted here, but not a natal square, trine, or opposition. No major aspect is a normal and useful result. This tool reads two planets in one natal chart. To see their place in the complete picture, explore your full natal chart.
How to Use the Calculator
Enter your date of birth and exact birth time, then start typing your birthplace and select the correct result from the suggestions. The calculator uses the selected location to identify the timezone and convert local time into the astronomical calculation time. Press the reveal button to open your personal result.
Your reading shows both signs, exact degrees, and Whole Sign houses, followed by the shorter angular distance between the planets. It also shows the nearest major aspect, its exact orb, the allowed orb, and whether that contact qualifies. The interpretation then connects the planetary functions with their signs and houses.
Understanding the Aspect and Orb
The five major aspects checked here are conjunction (0°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°), and opposition (180°). The allowed orbs are 8°, 5°, 7°, 7°, and 8° respectively. A nearby angle outside its allowance is labelled No Major Aspect, with the nearest aspect still displayed for reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a Mercury–Venus compatibility calculator?
No. It calculates the relationship between Mercury and Venus within your own birth chart. It does not compare two people or produce a relationship compatibility percentage.
Why do I need an exact birth time?
Birth time determines the calculation moment and helps establish the Ascendant and house placements. If you do not know it, the house information may be inaccurate. Use the most reliable recorded time available rather than treating an estimate as exact.
What does No Major Aspect mean?
It means the shorter angular separation does not fall within any of the five configured major-aspect orbs. The planets still have their own signs and houses, and their separate placements remain part of your result.
Can I share my result?
